What if we were to look at the infrastructural systems presented in The Infrastructural City and arrange them in a matrix where we could identify potential overlaps in the functions of these systems. By forcing these relationships we could begin to pick out the juiciest of combinations and create an index for these infrastructural chimeras. These may very well be the projects of L.A.'s future; long past the point of comprehensive planning, and even beyond the point of simply repairing, L.A. is now actively searching for the deliriously complex. Our index can be the catalyst for an ever increasingly intricate network of infrastructural mash-ups.
